About This Pelican seemed to want to take a nap, but wasnt going to take its eye off of me. Despite all of my clumsy efforts to get a good photo, he remained calm.

Nice shot Jim, you have captured excellent detail in this one. It sure helps to have such an elegant subject. But it's more important to have good equipment and the knowledge to operate it.

This would be a great shot if you edited it in PS and adjusted the levels and color-correction. I just took a copy of it and tried it and you can really make this picture jump out at you.

Fantastic framing on this one. The colors are true to the animal and water behind. These guys are very hard to catch like this and you did a great job!

A Hallam, I try to use PhotoShop sparringly as I usually end up messing things up. I did play, with this photo, a bit in PS, however I decided to post it just as it came out of the camera, as it was much closer to the true colors. Thanks for your comments. Jim
