Leo this is superb! I'n not too sure about the blown out exposure from shoulders to elbows. Maybe a creative choice on your part and that's the effect you wanted . . . but either way I'm not too keen on the effect personally.
Still . . . I have to tell you that this is one very impressive image. Not stark so much as real . . . and capturing reality in any sense . . . even a feel of reality . . . is a mervelous accomplishment for a photographer. This is excellent work overall.

Congrats,my friend!...am big fan of high contrast when it suits the image as it does here...my only quibble would be that i would like to see more separation of shoulder/top of arms from the background...i enjoy your images and creativity...think i have said to you before that i am also a big fan of ilford film...keep em' coming!

This is a very strong image. I think it causes a strong impact on the viewer. The b&w tones and the contrast help the photo to expand all its power. Really good.
