In 2002 I went to Cornwall for the first time to visit my friend Rachel who I hadn't seen for 3 years since she moved back home from London. I loved Rachel from afar... I felt as if Cornwall's beauty had been transfered into her and she carried it with her wherever she went. This photo always reminds me of the happy day we spent walking around St Ives in the sun... I marvelled at the quality of the light there, the incandescent glow... I fell in love with Cornwall that day and with Rachel all over again...
