Thanks for commenting, Michele. It is the razor comb that covers my Braun electric shaver. The stubble of the beard pokes through those micro-fine holes and the blades underneath cut the beard.

Thanks, Doyle. You found me out. Not a lot of wear and tear on my razor when all I have to shave is below my lip and my neck. I use a beard trimmer for the rest.

Onie -- Thanks for your comments. Your observation about the flower-like shape is exactly what caught my eye. I thought it must be form following function as the Braun engineers design everything so well, from coffee pots to shavers. Industrial designs from Germany and Italy seem to combine form and function in such wonderful ways.
