Hi Patrick,

I've been looking at this photo for quite some time; it's very appealing for sure. Yet, I do think a more contrast might increase the impact of this shot.

Due to the small stream and it's read tone, this rather unusual composition is very effective. The clover in the lower right corner starts the guiding line, using the curve of the stream towards the top of the hill, into the sky, where the eye is to be blocked by the darker patch of clouds. Top notch composition.

Very good shot,

Cheers,

Hugo

Dear Patrick
Just wanted to congratulate you on the award. Beautiful landscape for sure and very humanlike clouds up on the hill saying BOH:-)

Proper Job!

Nice shot Matey!

Thought I'd attach one of my shots to bring back a few memories for you. There are quite a few more scattered withing my portfolio too.

Glad you enjoyed Kernow so much!

Oh my God, Ian, that really does bring back memories... it feels like my home away from home in a way.... Alexandra Road a minute or two's walk away... the fish and chip shop across the street... walking to Newlyn at dusk... then on to Mousehole... fantastic! I might be going in a couple of weeks... not sure yet. Kernow forever!

Ian Miller   {K:7909} 4/4/2007
Hi Pat,
Yes, it does make the memories flood back doesn't it? Here's a shot of some inkwell Lobster Pots that were stacked against the slipway wall in Newlyn just before you turn left and go up the short yet steep short bit of road at the far corner of Newlyn Harbour going towards Mouzel.

Ian
