I think the exposure control has been at its best in this composition. Look at the colors and they are so very aptly saturated, a terrific balance all over this picture. The presence of this meditating human subject and the historical serenity of this place creates a silent environment...which contributes to the mood. I think I love everything of this composition, including the great details on the columns against a bright light at the background.

it just many mosques separate between the woman and section (different room or level) - though some may not phisically separate. and if it is separated I never see man in woman section - that's why I am surprised :). maybe is not the case here.

The geometry and perspective invides the spectator for a closer look here, Kiarang, and the reward for the closer look is much worthier than the admittedly fantastic lighting and coloring might suggest for themselves. I see that kind of gladness of inspecting an image, that results from a very light, almost hovering over the ground feeling, which is the result of the chosen composition itself. Perhaps the rest of the dress of the sitting person on the foreground should have been included for the sake of perfect integrity, but still the composition is great.
And again the f/22 stop made it not really easy, as I may assume, to get that sharpness of all details under that low light. BTW, did you use a tripod, Kiarang? Or else, how did you manage to keep the camera still for the long 10s of exposure?
And I go even further! Watch the perfect balance of strong lights and shadows, as it contributes immensely to that atmosphere of a happy kind of solitude! It is that balance of lighting and exposure that makes the person look almost translucent! Mastering such contradictory light conditions to that level is for itself alone a perfectness of photographic skill.
Well, Kiarang, I must take my hat off to you for this incredible image, and also ask the UF (in all respect), doesn't this one deserve a distinction at least?
Just keep it up!

thanks for all disscuss.using low shutter speed always lets the sensor to have more time to exposure and to record even little rays and reflects of the lights in the scene.
so i used long shutter speed here and many of my captures to can saturate the colours in sensor, not after capturing in Photoshop or any other softwares.

Kiarang, the same can be accomplished by a wide aperture, of course only considering light and thus also loosing details due to narow DoF, and here is where I must say that you choose the hard way that brings out the most details. (Not many people around do that nowadays, unfortunately :-()
But still, and quite out of curiosity of mine, how did you managed to have that peson on the foreground still for 10s? Did you ask her to do so? (Really impressing!)

وقتی به پایین پایم نگاه کردم به زمینی که در آن ایستاده بودم، حرکت مواج زمین را بر آن دیدم .دیدم که چگونه شکوه و عظمت آینه ها و زیبایی اطراف در میان شکست موج ها در هم می پیچند و خرد می شوند.آری دیدم که عکس من هم در میان آنها بود.
دیدم که من آدم هم با آن غرور و ایستایی در میان سایه های در هم شکسته اطراف غرق می شدم و به خود آمدم

سکوت نیایش ، تجلی خداوند، نور هستی، و یکتا بودن در عکس موج می زند.منبع نور واحد که انسان را به عمق وحدت و یگانگی سوق می دهد.تابش نور به داخل فضا و به وجود آمدن سایه روشن هایی که سرچشمه می گیرد از رنگها و فرمهای پنجره ها و عکس همه آنها که بر روی سطح زمین افتاده و شکستهایی که در سایه ایجاد شده است.تقارن در عکس به چشم می خورد ،زوجیت عناصر در عکس ، وجود سه ستون وسه در شیشه ای که با شیشه های رنگی آذین شده است
معماری زیبای ایرانی که با فرم های بی نظیر و حساب شده که هر انسانی را غافلگیر می کند.ووجود ستونهایی که به جفدهای جناقی ختم می شود.گچ بری های برجسته بر روی ستون ها و گره سازی هایی که در کاشی های هفت رنگ سقف و دیوارها به چشم می خورد
منبع نور در روبرو قرار دارد و نقطه گریز تمام عناصر به آنجا ختم می شود.زنی در روبرو پشت مخاطب نشسته ، در راستای منبع نور قرار گرفته و در وسط تصویر به چشم می خورد

What a wonderful image. I can't say that I have seen this before, even though it is not new.
It is a very assured image. At first sight symmetrical, but it is not. And the shadows enhance the image - Dan suggests HDR, but I really don't think it is called for here.
Superb, and great to see this on the front page today.
