About A scanned negative from a 1972 trip to Florida.
Scanned from the original negative.
400asa Kodak Tri-x, 35mm
Developed in D76 a little too long.
The selective colour is as close as I can remember my friend's 1965 Ford Custom being.
I 75 South, Appalachain Mountains, somewhere in Tennessee.

A neat old-time shot, Andre! Your colouring turned out very well, too.
Dave.

Very nice shot Andre, the film grain gives it a special quality, like the selective colouring too!

Thanks Fadel,
I'm thinking about putting a few old B&W travel images together as some kind of collage. Maybe with a single object in each image colourized. This could be one small part of a larger multiple image.

Thanks Dave,
As I wrote to Fadel, I might use this one as a small section in a collage of travel images. All B&W with lots of grain and one object in each image selectively coloured.

Thanks Kes,
I thought this one might get a reaction from you, knowing that you have an old Galaxie :)
This old Ford Custom belonged to my friend Barry. We were on a trip to Florida with our girlfriends when I snapped this one through the windshield.

I agree that the selective colouring is really well done, and I like the scene overall. Sometimes I think that what is charmingly grainy in a negative or print often comes out noisily pixilated (LOL... reminds me of some of the guys I went to school with. But I digress) when scanned. In this shot, this seems most obvious in the sky, and I wonder if it might be an improvement to apply heavy "softening" to that portion of the shot only.

cheers,

Jon

Hi Jon,
Yeah, I know what you mean. It's possible I could play around with it some more for some different effects. I was even thinking of some kind of textured layer to fill in the sky area too.
Andre
