About Another entry for the concentricity project. With the last one "Remember These?", idea of the concentric grooves of the record got lost in the remembrance of the music, so here's another try!

Very good Dave, the diagonal light pattern is very effective. The white text is a good contrast.
I do not remember that selection or the artist. Good work.
Hope your weekend is going well.

You are so right Dave, those are forgotten things taken over by newer media. How quickly it can change? Technology drives us and offer new gadgets everyday. I have the same sentimental moods towards the top technology solutions from my teenagehood. Great contribution to the project. Cheers, NJ

Andre Denis   {K:56175} 4/17/2007
Perfect for the project Dave.
I like the way you have left a lot of the record pure black and taken advantage of the light to create that effect of the light on the grooves.

Good to know I am not the only one who remembers the days before CD's. In fact I have a whole stack of these but no working player. Very good use of light to bring out the details of the concentric groves. Del.

Alison DuFlon   {K:36234} 4/26/2007

Jeff Sanders   {K:1537} 7/12/2007
great idea... and your right. Not many young ones will ever know what they looked like. Pretty soon you won't even buy cd's, we will all just download our music and hope the computer never crashes. I'm still hanging on to my old albums though. And if you can believe it, still have a working turntable. Love your bird photos. I think I know that loon. regards Jeff

Nick Karagiaouroglou   {K:99712} 7/21/2007
An excellent study of the very being of vinyl with only some minor problems of sharpness at the lower right sector of the LP. The reflections and the patterns are so exactly depicted, that I really can smell the fresh LP coming out of its cover!

It is not easy at all to get such finest details so clearly, but you mastered that almost perfectly!

Best wishes,

Nick

P.S.: Now where is that old LP 2112 by Rush? ;-)
