I like this one more than the coloured version, this has a nice feel about it

Hi Don, nice IR mystery at work here. Shooting IR with your D200 now...I know you had some kind of converted D70 previously...interesting work.

Wonderful infrared photo....rick

Don Loseke   {K:32500} 4/15/2007
NO, this was taken with the D70 camera. Didn't get this part changed on the upload.

Thanks, Don.

Don Loseke   {K:32500} 4/15/2007
HI Roger, I had a Nikon D70 converted to IR by lifepixel.com It is only good for IR now. I then go through the channel mixer for conversion and then I removed all the color for black and white. If you want more information send me an email. dloseke7@yahoo.com.

Congratulations on your upcoming retirement. You will find that you don't have as much time as you think. It is hard work being retired and doing all the things you wanted to do.
Don.

Wonderful b&w tones Don,beautiful scenery and the
ripples are really awesome. So you shooting IR with the D200 now, tried it with R72. I got awesome colors but very noisy.Shot using my set up for birds so not the best settings.
Take care
Robbie

Don Loseke   {K:32500} 4/15/2007
Hi Roby, no I am using a converted Nikon D70 camera.
This produces low noise and you can hand hold the camera as the shutter speeds are much higher than with a filter over the lens. Thanks, Don.

Hi John, been doing other things in other places and thought I had better get back and see how everyone is doing. I am feeling well and getting ready to make the summer move back to the midwest about the first of the month. I will try and get back and do some commenting soon.
Thanks for stopping by. Don.

A very nice b/w landscape scene to begin with, Don, and the IR treatment makes it that much more interesting! I liked your comments re: retirement to Roger...ain't that the truth!
Dave.
