Cool concept!

Sai .   {K:2763} 3/16/2002
agree with petros really cool concept, nice light and great composition

i dont/cant shoot portraits so dont have much to suggest..but i was taking a look at your portfolio..i think you are good at composing and catching the right pose..but the lighting seems a bit flat on many of the images..
do you use reflectors etc?

Charles Hess   {K:-183} 3/16/2002
Besides the nice composition, I really like the contrasting patterns formed with the empty chairs and Amy's clothing. Very nice.

Bill Krul   {K:5724} 3/16/2002
I like this the best of the current trio, pose is more natural. I think the shot might improve with some contrast enhancement.

Marty,
I keep being drawn back to view this picture, it reminds of some work David Bailey did for Vogue magazine, very nice picture, is Amy a professional model.
Best regards Dennis

Thank you everyone! Your comments are making me a much better photographer.

Sai: I don't have any reflectors. I hope to buy some reflectors soon.

Dennis, Amy is a friend of mine and this was her first time in front of the camera.

Marty,
Wonderful shot!!... That is a pic that caught my eye right off!...
A Thought, How about doing a close in Crop of your photo of Amy's face? You'd have a whole different photo on your hands that way!.. Ahh yes, the lost art of Cropping... Keep on Clickin!!

In this particular case I have to disagree with Mark. The texture around her, and the horozontal frame really make this image. The repetition of form in the clothing and chairs really draws me to the softness of her face. Great job Marty!

Excellent !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Russ Hewitt   {K:1831} 11/13/2004
yes, it's a fantastic setting full of all kinds of possibilties. i love the repeating quality of the seats that's interrupted by amy (who by the way is a wonderful model and adds so much to the composition). the texture of the seats is also interrupted by her texture and i think that's what i like the most about this image. some might say it's too visually busy but i think the patterns all have order to them and as such do not become the potential jumble they could be. very nice work.
cheers
russ
