Oh my... getting a bit artsy???? This is the kind of pic I live for. Simple, centered, direct... color shift, image fills the frame.... Meanings galore and the final thought up to the viewer. This kind of shot does not get enough praise. It is a slice of what we see and a representation (in a wee way) of what life is about. Read into it what one will.... this is, in my book, what photography is all about. Multiple meanings... simple image. And in the end, it is "just" a light....

grand stuff.

Would you like to buy it? J/K!! No seriously, I agree with you. Something simple we all pass by in our lives that we may notice but not think a lot about. This is in the hall of my sisters apartment building. Some people say we shouldn't take people for granted & I think that can extend to objects too. For example... the only time I ever rode the school bus was in 3rd grade. Yes, I was the quiet kid in school that never said a word (not the case now!), but when I would come home & get off the bus I would always say hello to the mailbox, my favorite tree (that my sis & I always climbed), my bike (the ultimate freedom then), etc, & I was kind of ridiculed for it. But the point is it stuck with me. Not that I do that now, I don't, but those were the days long before photography began for me, but even then I noticed things & appreciated them & what they meant, & felt strongly about what it represented to me. Photography now are all those child feelings rolled into an adult environment & outlet. I haven't forgotten how I felt & what my favorite things were & what they meant.

(sorry for the longest reply in history).

Oh... & thanx you so much for your kind comments Jim!

I completely agree with both you and Jim regards this image. Make it what you will,. It looks like the front window of a wee house to me, miniturised and isolated from the distracting surround. Too often the little sparks of beauty burn out too quick for us to notice them and then they are gone. You are recording them Shelby, for the fleeting.
Regards,
Robert.

Thank you again Robert :) Yes, it is kinda wee-house-ish. Haha! Yes, also agree about recording.
