Dubravko Grakalic   {K:24902} 5/4/2007
nice colors here

Callandra Cartwright   {K:419} 5/4/2007
great angle. I would like to see this more focused. Great border color

James Cook   {K:37179} 5/5/2007
Dubravko - Thank you.

James Cook   {K:37179} 5/5/2007
Callandra - Thanks. It's not the focus. I used a slow-sync flash and so there is some model/camera movement (before/after flash) which is also recorded. Some of them were much more apparent, but this one was pretty close to strait.

Craig Hanson   {K:7794} 5/5/2007
Great angle! Next time try taking it on a windy day! ;-)

James Cook   {K:37179} 5/5/2007
Craig - Ah, yes. Winds can be so friendly.

Paul Lara   {K:82912} 5/6/2007
I think Photoshop would go a long way toward balancing the lighting, since her legs need a little more 'sumpin' here.

Here's a version with some soft light brush strokes applied to her legs, James.

Legs brightened and spot on leg removed.

James Cook   {K:37179} 5/6/2007
Paul - Thanks.

Yeah, shooting as I was (with my SD550, on-board flash, slow-sync) I didn't have much expectation concerning skin tone. If you know of a decent tutorial which goes over this technique you used, please send the link my way.

I'll be posting a face shot approximately tomorrow. That one worked out a lot better (at least in part because I was using a d70).

Marian Man   {K:70463} 5/6/2007
