How gorgeous is that! I used to live in Queenstown and made Milford but never made Doutful Sound, wish I had now. Great shot, you can really feel that glassy water reflection,

Hi Mel,
This is a fantastic composition. I would imagine you knew the there would be some exciting images coming from this place. As much as i think this is a good shot i am disappointed that the clouds were blown out. You might consider using a 2 stop ND filter to mitigate this type of difficulty. I resisted filters for years until finally i relented. Now the ND filter just about never comes off.

Breathtaking Mel...New Zealand was definately good to you, and you in turn, are very good at showing off New Zealand! It IS all about the reflection. Since the clarity and near perfect exposure are found mainly in the reflection, I'd say that is what you were going for, yes? Nice little piece of NZ you have shared with us...fantastic!
