Nicole, Beautiful clouds and composition. I wonder if the use of a GND ( graduated neutral density ) filter would help to lighten up the mountains. I have seen many pictures that this worked on. BILL NAGY

It's a pleasure to see these shots of Mount Cook. The low horizon is very effective in this shot. Fantastic clouds, the detail in the dark mountains is very nice, overall an excellent composition, very well taken.

I'm soooooo glad that you like it my dear Michele!!It was also one of my favorite places.This was the second day at the N.P.and the clouds was caming on our morning!I have never seen so beautiful clouds as in New Zealand!

Wow what a fantastic perspective Nicole. I like the way you captured it, choosing the good angle to have these clouds which help the eye to go to the background. The tonal range is well managed and the way you framed you shot, perfect. I have just one regret, this is the small tilt that one can feel looking at the base of the mountains, and this is a little bit disturbating.. I would try to correct it ;)
Anyway this is a nice shot and perfect for this project.
