It looks like it got spiked by the spiky pattern on the top! Maybe not your thoughts, but your photos always sets my mind and imagination going.
It also looks like s shipwreck still in the sea but approaching the shore or maybe even a suicidal bag of chips jumping from a cliff:-0

Crisps suicide! That's genius! I can hear the crisps last thoughts before the fatal leap... 'All my life I wanted to be Salt and Vinegar flavour, but NO! I had to be Cheese and Onion! CHEESE AND ONION! I can't take it anymore! To the great crisp Valhalla I shall go! Goodbye, cruel world...'

At least a good thing that it wasn´t unpopped popcorn going into its death in a stream of lava only to find itself exploding to pieces and come to live- be joyful for a moment and then sink down into the lava and slowly become a monument of our time - the chipsera!
Hmm are we weird or what?
