Wondered if anyone would get the title, Jan! In shots that caught the tomato just a little earlier, the resulting image is even more suggestive, especially if rotated through 90 degrees...

Thanks so much, John. Cleaning these shots up was somewhat problematic because of imperfections in the plastic tank, reflections and bits of fruit building up in the water. Would be nice to get hold of a big solid glass tank. As to the timing, well, after several hundred drops your left hand tends to get to know instinctively when to press the shutter after the right hand has released the object!
