This is very nicely shot Michele but looking just a bit flat. I sure you must have noticed that...:)
However outside of that you did a wonderful job.
Great colors and composition and presented well in the frame.

Hmmmm... not so sure I know how to make this image NOT look flat Peanut Butter....
every 10th or so image I hear the image looks flat- I don't know why it does, I didn't notice it , and something new to watch for .... so I will READ, and STUDY some MORE>>> Hopefully I can conquer this 'Flat' problem - Thank YOU for telling me ...I appreciate that for sure :)) I am kind of thinking it's in my settings sometimes..... it's definitely in having 'no depth'

lol cute Oh Michele I had the perfect lesson for you on flatness but Marty took his post down.
I guess he couldent handle the truth this morning when I told him about it! He tried to blast me out this morning and ends up loosing his own post
( about 8 of em )! I guess he realised he was wrong and took out the post where he gave me everyword in the book. lol
The man asks you to critique his work and gets mad and pissed off when I try in a nice way to explain to him what flat means in a photo!
Oh well! Not going into that! hehe
It just mean a lack of contrast I guess. Like a lack of pop. You can usually tell if you run an auto level over it in a processing programs.
This is the easiest way to learn these things.
When you bring up a photo for processing . Run like the three main autos ........levels, colors and contrast. On a good program, this will teach you how a basic photo should look. One a good program that is. Make a good starting reference anyways and from there you just go by what you like......ect. Im sure I have confused you more now and that was not my intention...:(
Guess Im just razzeled myself.
Oh well.....Off to work.

Sorry I missed the good lesson on 'Flatness'
but I am glad you spoke up and that Martin must realize he has some serious anger issues to get control of.... It's a sad shame too.. We both have taken abuse from him and it continues sooo that is no fun for anyone- and defintely no way to learn anything either.
Thank You for your second explanation about 'flatness' and I do have a program that shows me something like a 'histo-gram' I know it's not called that but it shows different levels of color+ contrast... so I followed your explanation and appreciate it very much -
