No problem . . . 644 kilometers. That's 643737.6 meters! Yep, just a tad over 1600 meters.

Ah, the jungles of San Francisco, photographing an intrepid explorer examining the depths. I will be there most likely in August. Leave some wildlife for me to shoot when I get there.

Thanks Paul . . . I have been quite sidetracked, admittedly. My last posting would explain the details. :)

LoL! - Nope . . . the explorer here in LA from the jungles of San Francisco. Don't worry - we shipped him back for you! Wildlife? Oh come on! Surely nothing like the wild life when YOU get there!!

Just a candid, Shirley, of a very nice guy. Businessman with cigarettes . . . well . . . once it was cigars . . . and martinis . . . probably none of it good for them . . . but no smoking indoors anymore - at least there is that!

Doyle I <~~~~~

Doyle D. Chastain   {K:100221} 5/22/2007
Thanks Nicole . . . it was easy to get the relax feel by getting the shot BEFORE he saw the flash! LoL!

And on that note: San Francisco look out! I am going to be there from July 7 through the 14th. Am going to hit the museum trail again as well as travel north a bit. Love Larkspur, which will be my base of operations.

Okay. I wish there was no smoking indoors here. One problem is that where it is prohibited, the smokers congregate at the entrances, so you have to pass through a cloud of cigarette smoke to get in and out....almost worse.

Doyle D. Chastain   {K:100221} 5/22/2007
Wow, I'm so used to everywhere indoors it's illegal that it's always surprising to find places still allow it (like Las Vegas). Here it's illegal to smoke within 50 feet of the entrance to any public building . . . hence the grotto along a path away from the building. :)

Wow . . . sounds like fun and I'm sure San Francisco is on alert! You'll see Joel I gather . . . he lives that way I hear! :)

Jan Hoffman   {K:39373} 5/22/2007
Yup -- Will be spending as much time as possible with Lisa & Joel. They live in Larkspur.

Shirley D. Cross   {K:143453} 5/22/2007
Hmmm...well, I wish they would do that here, too. And we still have some restaurants with smoking sections...and if there is not proper ventilation, you still get the smoke drifting into the non-smoking section.

Here is my little apartment building, there is supposed to be no smoking, but people go out on their little balconies to smoke and if my window is open, it comes in very strongly. I am very glad to be on the NCD...keeping me detoxified!:)
