The lighting is beautiful. Funny thing with birds. They seem to let you get close to them most of the time, only when they are backlit. I have a million black silhouettes of colourful birds :) Much less with lighting this nice.

Nicely done and an excellent DOF Dave. Seems like an overriding green tint (to my eye) as evidenced by the wooden pole. Still . . . a crisp capture of an interesting bird.
