Now thats funny, Actually I was out shooting night shots earlier tonight, All of them would make you green with envy! or laugh your feeakin ace off, probably the later, I had a friend who used to help me in that field, but she is no more wahhhhhhhhhh...

Hi Rich, I dont really use UF much anymore, but did put this up as yamil posted a shot with my name..
You went to the 5D? I like the focusing system on it very much, but could not live with the Full Frame, my 400mm which is 640 efl on the 1.6 crop would be 400 and I dislike tele converters, I do have a 1d M IIn that I never use due to the 1.3 crop. I also have a 300 2.8 which also never sees the light of day, I guess what I shoot is never close and I take reach over all else, 3fps Is fine for bird shots, you will notice a gap in wing position when shooting big birds flying across the horizon but usually not a big deal. I dont think you can go wrong with the closeups such as the excellent hummers you have been posting, beautiful to say the least..
