Is it a duck with his head turned around?
Great photo.

john davis   {K:1600} 5/20/2007
No, Richard, but they are feathers you can see....Thanks for your interest and comment.
JD

Richard Koth   {K:2505} 5/20/2007
Ok, so you are from "Down under"
Is it a Penguin, Seagull, Cormorrant or a Kangaroo?
Don't think Platypus come in that colour do they?

john davis   {K:1600} 5/20/2007
Thanks, Richard.
Getting close....no, it's not a platypus either and yes it's an Australian photograph...
Cheers
JD

Michele Carlsen   {K:127677} 5/21/2007
Is it a flamingo ????? With it's head twisted and some dark camoflauge to trick us ?

Cheers Mate,
Michele~

john davis   {K:1600} 5/21/2007
Hi M,
No camoflauge here, in fact no alteration of the pic at all....except cropping.
Thanks
JD

Michele Carlsen   {K:127677} 5/21/2007
Well then I don't think I have ever seen this Aussie kind of bird before JD :(( I am out of guesses.......:((
M~

john davis   {K:1600} 5/21/2007
Sorry, M, I don't wish to tease you, but I will leave it for a little while to give other Usefilm members an opportunity to GUESS the BIRD (hint) that I have submitted. The only other clue I will give you is that they are found on ALL continents, except Antarctica.

Michele Carlsen   {K:127677} 5/21/2007
Ahaaaaaa!!!! It is a Bird - But I do believe that YOU DO Like to TEASE me :))

john davis   {K:1600} 5/23/2007
Hi Michele,
No, I won't tease you any longer ! I have attached a photo of the BIRD that had you stumped! Thank you for being patient with me..
I just wanted to create a bit of fun in the portfolio gallery.
Cheers,M

Australian PELICAN

Richard Koth   {K:2505} 5/24/2007
Funny thing about a Pelican.
His beek can hold more than his belly can!

Great job.
You had me stumped.

Michele Carlsen   {K:127677} 5/24/2007
Hi JD,

I had guessed a 'flamingo' I think ...Dang it -- I did mean Pelican !! I am not just saying this either ---
Well... It was a really good guessing game and I was getting sooooo curious so I appreciate you telling us now at long last and I also appreciate your Fun in the gallery :))
That was a very decieving and good image John.... and a fun game too:))
Best wishes,

M~

john davis   {K:1600} 5/24/2007
Hi M,
Well, if you had been close to a pelican with your guess, I wouldn't have 'teased' you, but your Pelicans are a gray sort of color, I think.
Anyway, it was fun.
Cheers
JD

Michele Carlsen   {K:127677} 5/24/2007

john davis   {K:1600} 5/24/2007
Life is too short not to throw in a bit of humour, as you have noticed with a few of my submissions, Michele.
I'll do another someday if you like...
JD

Michele Carlsen   {K:127677} 5/24/2007
Absolutely JD---

I totally agree 'we gotta have humour :))'
Michele~
