About The image of the "orphane" poppy bud of my previous upload raised two different opinions: better with the leaf behind the bud or without? I think that both opinions are right because they are not better or worse but only different pictures with different features: with the diagonal leaf behind it is more dynamic, deep, emotive; without, more contemplative, static, enhancing the drawing. This is my feeling but for checking it I post another shot of the same image with the leaf not behind the stem and not diagonal. I will be happy to know your opinion. Thanks very much.

Ottima nitidezza,mi piace il controluce che crea un bel contorno.ciao

Absolutely fantastic shot, the backlight makes the plant really shining roundly, very good element also the way you frame it. The support from the dark background is the best for these kind of photos. The only think...perchaps it could have a bit more 'air' at the bottom so the connection of the two 'brunches' could be into the frame.
Best regards!

Oh, I love lighting here. My favourite - backlighting.
But aslo I love the snaky shape of the poppy.

Well done macro, Giuseppe! Great lighting and perfect focus on the fine details!
Dave.

This composition is very clean and easier to decipher the contrast between the leaf and the graceful lines of the stem, Giuseppe. I am amazed at the great lighting effect!

Splendid light condition and composition. Congratulation.

Andrzej Pradzynski   {K:21612} 5/21/2007
Guiseppe, I love the one very much, great composition that leads ones eye through the wavy lines of this picture to culminate the ride at the poppy bud. Great light and fantastic negative space in background so no one would doubt what is the subject here. In this frame everything is organized and make sense for me and the leave is only a secondary subject and do not confuse the composition.
Cheers, NJ

Ciao Giuseppe! Both are very good, but if I have to choose, I prefer the previous one (Orphan 5) because the light (and compo) is even more intriguing in that one ~ just my humble opinion :)

I think I prefer this one because the two are separated enough to allow us to appreciate the beauty of each element, but also the composition as a whole is more dynamic, in my humble opinion.

Lovely work, Giuseppe!
