He is Proud of his catch John- looks like a baby- Wants to make sure Yo Get his picture-lol!!!!
Really good capture tho --- bummer it is a little dark, but still a sharp, clear silhouette and very good dof...
Cheers,
Michele~

Nice shot. Not sure about presenting this orientation though.

John Hatz   {K:152703} 5/20/2007
hahaha....yes it looks like that as you say Michele, thanks a lot for the kind comment.
I put some more contrast, the quality of that picture wasn't good and also needs that as it was a bit overexposed in reality...a couse to make that in greyscale too! Pity for the moment but still I like the moment and the luck that I took that shot using a set of camera - lens of 3 kilos! :-)

John Hatz   {K:152703} 5/20/2007
Thanks James!

Sometimes the 'moment' overides the technicalities John :)) I like it too.

John Hatz   {K:152703} 5/21/2007
Thanks a lot Joggie for the kind comment, needs some resdponses but not sooo quick on that, it looks like its nest was there and even it being like that (the shot taken horizontial to the ground, yea, it seat like that on the wood...) it takes some seconds there...but I haven't good lighting suport... and it was in some distance...

John Hatz   {K:152703} 5/21/2007

Something I forget to say about that,
that is the real position of the bird,
the position of the camera is horizontial
to the ground!

Iman Fouad   {K:11810} 5/21/2007
Great caught John..that is the strange wildlife..great angle and presentation.

Manuel Bedoyan   {K:7284} 5/21/2007
Great capture John! But why in B&W? I think the bird's color and the wood color would add so much to it, make it look very real and alive, but that's just my point of view:) hahaaa
Congrats

Manuel

John Hatz   {K:152703} 5/21/2007
Thanks my friend for the kind and good comment...well I has some contrast problems on that...it was too dark and Sigma 50-500 is not the....brighter lens you can buy so...in greyscale it looks a bit better and I could put some more contrast with better result! ;-)

John Hatz   {K:152703} 5/21/2007
Hallo Vanessa, thanks a lot dear friend for the very kind comment!

Robert Gaither   {K:30208} 5/22/2007

Nice shot and great angle as well,
I like using B&W in here, I see that you have couple of great telephoto lenses, nicely taken buddy,
Take good care,

John Hatz   {K:152703} 5/31/2007
Thanks my friend, Sigma 50-500 or Bigma as many people name that lens is the cheeper 500mm we can have!!! No stabilizers or bright apertures but a good lens with good glasses...and very fast focus for a so biiiiig bazuka! :-D

ali ikizkaya   {K:9789} 7/13/2008
My Dear Friend John!
You very well observed this little bird while hunting. Very nice angle. High quality sharpness and softness. Great cropping and very well adjusted gray tones. I like it. Simple and rich frame. Wonderful composition and its scene.
Thanks for your share.
Warm Regards.
Ali

John Hatz   {K:152703} 7/13/2008
thanks very much Ali!
