Great shot of my second favourite plane, the Spitfire is my first! Too bad for the boring sky but not much you can do about it. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Guy! I know what you mean. This was taken about 45 to 60 minutes before a good rain shower and the skies all day were overcast.
No Spitfires flew that day, though I would od loved to seen one. beautiful lines and awesome sound the Spitfires have.

Hiya Dwight..
I am a BIG aviation fan - and the P-51 Mustang is one of my favourites, hopefully this had the Merlin engine, the sound just goes straight through you.
You nailed a great shot here - you've managed to capture all the detail... I think it's Brilliant!!! Love your work...:)

Hello Kristen, Thank you so much. Your comments are always so welcomed. I love the fact you know what a P-51 is and yes it had the Merlin engine.
You are so right about the sound, I spent 19 years as a pilot and aircraft mechanic and there is nothing that can compare with that sound and the feeling it gives you.
