Nice work Andre.
I am finally getting into the "smaller guys".
Like. I think Joggie is right when he said that "The small birds are so often overlooked in favor of the birds of prey".
They all are beautiful in their own way.
I look forward seeing more of your nature shots.
Regards.
Yamil

I like your idea here.
All great photos but I like them better all together.
Good work.

Impresionante serie has logrado... interesante y bellísima
Felicitaciones!

Thanks Richard,
I noticed a few other people posting this sort of composite. That's where I got the idea to do this. You are right. most of these are much better quality on their own and I've cropped them considerably to get them into the 850x850 Usefilm format. Even with the lack of quality due to compression of the individual images, it seems to work out as a neat little quick view sampler.
I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out. I'll probably do a few more with other subjects.
Thanks again.
Andre

Thanks Alicia,
I will try this kind of thing again with some different subjects. Maybe 4 images instead of 9.

Thanks Yamil,
Sometimes the small guys are hard to get and sometimes they cooperate. Usually they land close when you don't have the camera with you :)
I've been enjoying your bird images as well as Marcus, Darlene and Todd for a couple of years now. You guys all inspire me to keep shooting!

Very nicely done collage, Andre! Great colours and all good shots of the individual birds!
Dave.

Andre, you got nice collection of avian shots here, another great documentary for the valley. I know the challenge to shoot birds, they are really camera shy, did you tried to use camouflage of any kind?
Cheers, NJ

Andre Denis   {K:56377} 5/23/2007
Thanks Dave,
I've been thinking about doing this kind of image for some time now and finally got around to it. There will be a few more to come. Some of the better ones, I will post individually, eventually.

Thanks Andrzej,
I have read about doing bird photography using different sorts of blinds. I didn't use anything like that to take these. But, I might try it... at least in the back yard. Apparently it works quite well. The blind doesn't have to be fancy, just something that takes away the look of a human.

Hi Andre,

a small lesson in ornithology =)

I like this pile of sweet little birdies. Fits perfect to our weather.

Thanks Thilo,
I liked the idea of putting images like this together like a sampler. But you have to be so very careful when resizing, so that you don't lose too much quality or consistancy.
