Very interesting image, James. A successful shot.
Congrats.
Salvador

Annemette Rosenborg Eriksen   {K:55407} 5/21/2007
A tribute to Edison - are my eyes fooling me or is there a link between the two lightbulbs?
Annemette

James Cook   {K:37179} 5/21/2007
Salvador - Thank you. I'm glad you like it.

James Cook   {K:37179} 5/21/2007
Annemette - Yeah, it does look like that. That is the switch for the tall light.

Tuna Esener   {K:-2953} 5/21/2007
it can be used as a good luxagraphic source but If I'm not wrong you already did it!

James Cook   {K:37179} 5/21/2007
Tuna - Yep, you guessed it. I haven't posted any from this window, but I did shoot some. The problem with this scene is that it was very bright and so getting the shutter times down where I like them was tough. Maybe I'll post one later though.

Shirley D. Cross   {K:145295} 5/22/2007
Great shot, James...cute title!:)

James Cook   {K:37179} 5/22/2007
Thanks, Shirley. I work hard on my titles.

SUPRIYA NANDY   {K:61} 5/22/2007
Excellent idea. Again thanks for remembering the great scientist in title .

James Cook   {K:37179} 5/22/2007
Supriya - Thanks. I once read a book ('Electifying America') that was pretty fascinating--even if a it dull--on the history of electricity in America.

Steve Aronoff   {K:17711} 5/22/2007
This is cool, James. By the way, were you aware that Bellingham has a museum of Electricity and the Radio (or is it, the Radio and Electricity). I saw it for the first time a couple of weeks ago, and it's much larger and more interesting than I imagined.
Steve

No sh1t? That's good to know. Who knows when I might make it up there but it's good to know. Any good pictures to post from that one?

Did I tell you that I'm doing a presentation of my luxagraphic work at the Henry Art Gallery on 29 May?

John Hatz   {K:152703} 5/23/2007
Hahahahahahahahaha!!!! Excellent title...yea, like the Dr Evil and his MiniMe at a fany english movie that mess with 007! LOL...but a Tomas Edison's version, great idea and very well connected with a so different story, an image that it makes my day James! I like the shapes on the small lamp that looks like not so powered and so the details of the 'cables' inside the lamp viewed very well!

James Cook   {K:37179} 5/23/2007
John - Thanks. Yeah, I would have liked to expose this shot a little less, but I don't have quite that much control with this little camera I am using currently.

Mohamed Badawy   {K:11068} 5/24/2007

James Cook   {K:37179} 5/24/2007

Andre Denis   {K:56541} 6/5/2007
Hey James,
Too bad they didn't have the "Big and Little" project when you posted this one. It would be a perfect fit.
Andre

James Cook   {K:37179} 6/5/2007
Andre - Ah, sheet. I didn't know about the Big and Little project. I'll have to repost this and submit it there.

Andre Denis   {K:56541} 6/5/2007
Yeah,
I think they just started that project up a couple of days ago.
It will make a good entry. Good luck!
Andre

James Cook   {K:37179} 6/6/2007
Andre - I see. A repost it is then.
