Mi sento abbastanza triste quando sto guardando questa serie di foto. C'è il senso di un posto che ha avuto conosciuto giorni migliori. Esprimere i miei sentimenti a parole è difficile... specialmente in italiano! I edifici sono rimasti in piedi, la gente cammina nelle strade... ma c'è qualcosa che è mancante. Forse la mia interpretazione delle foto è sbagliata... non ne sono certo. Anzi, forse il posto non ha cambiato troppo, invece potrebbe essere che adesso i sentimenti della fotografo verso la sua città natale sono differenti di prima. Ho un'impressione forte che hai avuto l'intenzione di dare un senso di distacco in queste foto. Un posto che è stato una volta tanto familiare a te quanto tua propria faccia è diventato leggermente separato dal tuo coscienza. Qualunque cosa è la verità, queste foto sono bellissime, malinconiche e curiose.

Hi Patrick,
you watched very deep in these photograph and understood a lot of things.
Carbonia is a bit a strange town, built quickly because of the will of Mussolini.
People came from everywhere. It is hard to fill a sense of community.
The trace of the history you can find don't really belong to the ancestor of the people leaving there, so it's a bit like an old set of a movie.
It was interesting seeing it for the first time with the eyes of a photographer. It was like discovering it as a foreign city.
I felt a sense of separation and curiosity at the same time.
