I think the image itself is wonderful, but, and I am sure there are others who will offer a different perspective, I am not keen on the strong green toning. This is just my preference. I personally would have preferred a milder one. That said, the image itself is great. A wonderful composition with added interest on the water in the form of highlights. The mist adds a sense of mystery, but it gives the impression of an early morning fishing expidition to me. (And then I read the title). Your images have so much feeling in them. Keep shooting JD.

Well Txules . . . and you CC'd it too.

Ok . . . here's the thing . . . I LIKE this image a lot. Like Paul though, I'm not a fan of the green tone. Just too . . . uhhhhh . . . well it just doesn't work for me. I also find myself distracted by the cant (tilt) I detect in the horizon. (See attached)

That being said . . . I really like this "jump out there and try new things" approach we see from time to time when people post images knowing full well they will raise an eyebrow here and there.

So - bottom line . . . I would tilt and re-tone it a more agreeable color . . . but I really like the image a lot. And the creative work was a nice touch!

Regards,
Doyle I <~~~~~

Thanks Doyle, your opinion is always a very vaulable input to me; the image is not tilted (well perhaps a bit), you are looking at the lakeshore and that's the reason it looks tilted, kind regards mate

Fantástica y misteriosa escena, Caronte navegando las aguas del río de la muerte? :-)

Un abrazo!

I think Doyle said it for me, but it's always worth experimenting - we all know you are a good photographer - and brave to face the critiques.
Regards, Gary

OK, OK, when so many good people and photographers tell me that the greenish tone is awful I must reconsider/rework this picture.
Thanks guys for the advice, I'm in my learning curve :)
