Well I guess us nature photographers are bound to see things like this from time to time but to capture it with this much clareity and compostion is a once in a life time event.
I agree with the others that think this is an award winning image and should be published somewhere!! Another 7+ from me. Just AWESOME!!!

Bill, thank you very much for your nice comment.
I don't think I am going to see anything like this for a while. I was at the right place at the right moment. And it happened 4 times in less than 1 minute.
It was very inspirational a truly a privilege to have witnessed such an incredible event and even better, I can share it with you and UF community.
From my perspective, it’s nature how gives the awards when allow us to capture its intimacy. The peaceful feeling that takes over after such actions is overwhelming.
This Memorial Day weekend I will be looking for more Western Blue Birds. I hope to capture one with an insect on its beak.
Take care my friend and thanks again for your kind words.
Yamil

The detail in this shot is just amazing Yamil, also the lighting and bokeh again is just so spectacular. Great work.

Yamil: Ah yes, the BCNH is voracious and will eat almost anything. This is an amazing and difficult catch. Great work!

Again Yamil - Perfect. Color, detail, the "frozen moment"... Stunning in every aspect!
Beautiful...
