I am sure this picture must mean something to You. But for me, uninvolved viewer it looks kind like an easy way out to post someting. Maybe if You explained why You took this picture my opinion would change. As it is, it does not show any level of difficulty in creating this photo, with the exception of the geometry involved.

Patrick Crowther   {K:13570} 5/25/2007
Yes, it was an easy way out. Yes, it shows no level of difficulty. Yes, it does mean something to me. Yes, yes, yes.

Mirek Towski   {K:10346} 5/25/2007
I am glad it works for You. What about the secret message?

Patrick Crowther   {K:13570} 5/25/2007
There is no secret message. You figure it out...

This makes me think of childhood that is left behind, thrown out only leaving vivid happy memories and longings of these joyful days.
Also the contrast between the animals and the concrete gives me associations to the way we treat many farmanimals not even letting them outside on a field.

Patrick Crowther   {K:13570} 5/29/2007
Thank you, Annemette! Yes, this is about sweetness and innocence, a time when frogs croaked, owls twit-twoo'd and moles made whatever noises moles make. For me, this is a sad photograph... it reminds me of a state of being that I will never feel again. My childhood certainly wasn't all fun and games, but it was infinitely preferable to now.

Oh geesh... I saw it only as some kid dropped their book and went crying home... and I laughed...
And not knowing anything... times are only as good or bad as we let them be. There is a great US band named Everclear. They have a song, "One Hit Wonder" and one line is, "They can't hurt you unless you let them." What ever the pain now...

it will pass. Keep shooting. I do not reply/respond to many people. Roger, Kevin, Paul and a few others. Don't take my words for anything more than a passing comment. But, you have a great eye.

Patrick Crowther   {K:13570} 5/31/2007
LOL! You're as much of a devil as I am! I have to say that did cross my mind and I did manage a bit of a smirk as well... the thought of the tantrums... the parent saying to their devil-spawn child 'It's OK, precious light of my life, I'll buy you a new woodland animals pop up animal learning book!' The child's eyes flash and twinkle, and miraculously the crying stops, like a tap turned off.
