About A friend and fellow photographer(thanks Levi Fabiana) took me down this obstacle-course type hike to get here. We needed a rope to get down (and to get back up with 50lbs of gear on my back). There is a honeymoon couple actually swimmimg to the right corner. Used a tripod, cable release to catch some smoother action. Your opinions are always welcome and appreciated.

Your work is always outstanding and this one has to be another one of my favorites. Well done! Glad you made it back up the rope :)

Vincent, this is another superb photo with wonderful satured colors of nature, the kind of pic I love to apreciate. In this photo you told that you got 1/05 speed. Is it correct your you'd like to say 1/15s? In your experience what is the min. speed to get a flow effect in the water? Regards, Alex.

Thanks for ALL of your nice comments!

Alex: It may have possibly been 1/08...not perfectly certain, but remember how nicely surprised I was to get it that low in bright daylight. The use of a polarizor definitely helped the cause here in many ways. I have shot some waterfalls at 1/20-30 just to see, and really thought they lost the smoothe flow desired. In fact they were terrible! 1/12 or at the absolute most 1/15. Below 1/10 is where you really want to be. Hope this all helps. Thanks again.

Okay, in your comments YOU set yourself up for this:
How in the heck did you manage to climb up a rope with 50lbs of gear on your back??? We've seen the pictures, and the sticks you call arms!!! *grin*

However it was done, it was worth it. The deep green of the water is unique. This doesn't stand out to me as one of your best (colours don't seem to pop as much as your usual standard), but it's nice to see the hide-a-ways of Hawaii... probably where the locals go to get away from tourists!

Man Cory was fun climbing there even though the lighting wasnt that great... yeah... but any way I still say that is a great photo.. and also I know well really show the hiddin kauai the next time we go shooting.....
