About White-tailed Kite adult transfering vole to juvenile. Both parents hunt for themselves and to feed their inexperience juv's. This is not a detrimental activity for the adults, they are very suscessful predators.

Yamil: Wonderful and unique image! I wish we had seen some of these in our travels. My wife is very anxious to see them. We did see a few Snail Kites in Florida in February. We may have to travel back to wine country just so we can see the Northern California birds again.

Yamil Saenz   {K:12349} 6/16/2007
Hi Fred,
If you come to Northern California, please let me know.
I know some of the best spots for hawks.
July is one of the best months for raptors.
Right now we have White-tailed Kites juveniles almost in every foothill and I have seen nests with babies of Red-shouldered Hawks, Cooper's Hawks and Red- tailed Hawks.
Arrastradero Nature Preserve, 10 minutes from my house and only 5 minutes from work is an awesome place.
Regards and thanks for all your great comments.
Yamil
