About This sculpture was so upsetting to watch at the cemetary and seing the two names on the grave. I wish I knew the story behind this woman and her child. Maybe you Greek people out there can help me?

Annemette... I love cemeterys... Always interesting and with many stories to tell... Can certainly understand being upset... Hope someone can enlighten you, us, on the meaning of what appears to be quite tragic deaths...

The sculpture is quite skeletal in form... maybe war?...

A most interesting piece dear friend...

Onie...

Yes maybe a victim of war or cancer- I donīt know, but it really struck me in my heart even more so because of the child and all the feelings that comes with the territory of being a mother and caring for a helpless child.

I found it at the 1st cemetary in Athens. I wondered about the flowers as well and I would love to hear the story behind this sad sculpture.
