Evereybody sitting or standing by themselves - so typical in our part of the world, but sad. They should sit together, discuss matters, laugh, make friends. It is indeed possible to feel lonely in a crowd.

and may I say that the closed lock adds something extra to this mood of being alone and locked up not able to reach out.

Patrick Crowther   {K:13570} 6/10/2007
You noticed... of course you did. This is the problem with the modern world for me... everywhere you go you are bombarded with information about the latest way to communicate... a new phone, a new computer, a new MP3 player... but the quality of communication gets lower, and lower, and lower... so low that we end up feeling lonelier than ever...

Annemette Rosenborg Eriksen   {K:55401} 6/10/2007
I guess that all these means of communication make us people spread out instead of staying in the same village or city as our families. The natural bonds with family and friends are weakening and many sit in each their tiny world surrounded by strangers.
We should just reach out. Actually we should also meet, you, me and others here from UF instead of having only an online friendship.

Patrick, questa foto e' bellissima e forte!
Just few days ago I was told about what happened in Canada and US when in 2003 there was a total blackout for more than a day. People deviated from their routine, couldn't work, couldn't watch TV. Eventually all became like a big party in the streets and in the gardens, with all the people of the neighborhood meeting each other and communicating for the first time. The person that told me the story said he had the best time in his life.

telling imagery... and so typical... we see it everyday... getting together...
