thanks a lot Michele... thanks God that little one was on a television antenna and I was one flor down so the distance wasn't much more than 10 meters and the shot was pretty easy even for a big lens...but again the little bird knows that I was there...and so...:-D

Thanks a lot Pablo...yea, that Sigma 50-500mm (know as Bigma too) is the cheeper 500mm we can have...no stabilizers and not the brighter but still worths any euro we pay...

I agree, John -- the Sigma is an impressive piece of glass and a very good value. This is a superb shot and you really have shown the noisy and aggressive attitude that small birds can offer. An excellent expression and the detail is impressive.

hi John. thats a pretty sharp photo. quite colourful as well. I never seem to get close enough to those birds to take the photo like that. but thats a big lens you shot the photo with though....

well I was lucky as that bird was on an old tv antenna and I was a flor down of it, that means my distance wasn't more than about 4 meters, so 500mm was enouph to get something so small (small bird, that must be about 3 inches long...)
