John Hatz   {K:143808} 6/22/2007
Excellent shot, I like the mood and even in color, the place still gives a sad feeling about its subject...ofcaurse it could be better perchaps in greyscale...just a though... still excellent!

Dave Arnold   {K:55613} 6/22/2007
Thanks, John. I also wondered what this would look like in black and white but I did like the colors of the valley and the foreground grass.

I have added a black and white version to my portfolio for you to look at. Tell me whaich one you like better...

Dave

Thank you Shirley... make me feel more guilty :)

:)

:)

Shirley D. Cross   {K:141657} 6/22/2007
You're welcome, Dave. But why should you feel guilty?

Dave Arnold   {K:55613} 6/22/2007
well, you know, Shriley, dissing your picture and all... I know, I know, you'd rather me be honest...

Shirley D. Cross   {K:141657} 6/22/2007
Oh that...Of course, I'd rather you'd be honest. Don't worry about it. I'll be honest with your photos, too...okay?;)

Dave Arnold   {K:55613} 6/22/2007
Oh, I know, Shirley, you always are. Your calling me on horizons has me constantly making sure I have them as exactly straight as my blind eyes can see. I always say to myself "is that Shirley proof?"

:)

Nice capture with a view, I use to ask my uncle what is on the other side of that mountain, he would say another mountain, excellent job. 7++++++++++++

Dave Arnold   {K:55613} 6/23/2007
Thank you much, Yazeed.

Best wishes,
Dave

Thank you, Barbara!

...yea the colors are great and I bet the lower landscape can give increadible photos... well with one polariser filter (if you can put even more than one) you will get some magic photos there.....
ok... as I said to the greyscaled photo, I like the B/W better as the grave is itself a sad object and works better with sad tones, if the sky was very cloudy that could works for sure but...it is a very nice blue sky that only gives happy thoughs... all these ofcaurse are nothing to do with critique, there is no bad or good in these thoughs, bothly works and only some times I have to write my thoughs to the photographer... If I have something to critique I also write to you. :-D
Have a good Sunday dear Dave!
