Yes, faith is not only personal, it's something very internal. I always see those shouting loudly about their faith as 'over compensating' for their own doubts (in much the same way insecure men need to act VERY macho).
Your photo: I love the golden tones, Annemette.
Gold has always played a central role in (organized) religion, but those of deep faith see the value in NOT holding on to gold, but in using it to lift those around them.

Well spoken, Paul. I also see this kind of action as a need for attention, a "look at me, I´m a holy manattitude". A pathetic and strange approach but very human.

Oh it is so sweet of you to look at my work like this, Ian. I really appreciate it! As you noticed I do somewhat different work not sticking to only portraits, landscapes etc. I believe in embracing all what surrounds us.
