A nice macro shot. This is a LOTUS flower which is much revered by the Buddhist's. The flower has many colors but white seems to be the most prominent. The seeds (which are in the green pod) are supposed to be very good for people with a heart condition and also other ailments.
A beautiful flower, not one that is easily grown here in Australia. They will grow here but they need water (Which we don't have much of) Generally grown in botanical gardens and Buddhist Temples.
