The altered image is an interesting idea, although I find it doesn't hold my attention for very long. I think it's because there are so many lines, without a concrete subject to focus on. One piece of dark tree bark might have created the balance that I want...
Congrats on trying new things with photos though... as I've learned on USEFILM there are many ways to enchance and create after the image is caught on film!

Kim, thanks for the constructive comments. I hadn't thought about having a focal point to catch the eye, but that's an interesting idea.
