Good B6W I like the fade effect on the neck's model.
Funny Expression.
A little bit Blurred i'd like it more sharp and contrast..

rebecca claassen   {K:16443} 6/27/2007
Hey there Saintz. Thanks so much for your hinest critique, it is very much appreciated. I am also unhappy with the lack of sharpness in this shot, but her expression aws mostly what made me post it.
I have not shot with many "models" (she is just a friend I thought might be game for some different things), and so catching the right moment and retaining perfect sharpness is something I have to practice more.
cheers and thanks again, Beks

Great image, i agree with the sharpness, but you have covered that in your reply. Powerful image anyway..

Shirley D. Cross   {K:145279} 6/27/2007
It is a fun shot, Bek.:)

While not a fan of portraits that include sticking out tongues, making faces or flipping the bird, I really am always impressed with your "treatment"... I so try to be like you but always fall flat on my face. Maybe I should try heels.

And another thing, you impress me with your understanding of my American sarcasm... can't remember exactly what you said or where, but you picked up on a sarcastic comment I made that I thought only an inner-city American would understand... oh yeah, it was "scurred".

Best to U

Dave

Thanks so much Fern, and thanks also for reading the additional info and understanding :)

Technically not great, but fun for sure, thanks Shirley.

P.S. Got your e-mail, it was amazing!!!

OK Dave, if you keep falling flat on your face, I really don't think the heels will help, do you?
And while we're at it, if you REALLY want to 'be like' me, there is this little operation you can have done.....involves a cork-screw and pair of tongs, shouldn't hurt at all.....

First time I heard of anyone being 'scurred' was on Oprah one day (my God yes, she is everywhere, even way Down Under!!!:P AAAARGH!), so your American sarcasm is not lost on me at all.

I can be quite sarcastic myself, drives Doug nuts. He says it is hard enough trying to figure woman out anyway, let alone when sarcasm comes into it, then you may as well just go away and mow the lawn....because she said "of course go and mow the lawn, it wasn't like I REALLY wanted you to stay here with me on the couch and watch a movie anyway"....hmmmm. Yep, love that sarcasm.

cheers to you my scurred, sarcastic buddy,
Beks

Cheeky shot.I like it. I love her expression and how she is acting in front of your camera. Excellent contrast and great presentation. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers Sascha

rebecca claassen   {K:16443} 7/2/2007
Hi there Sascha, she was reluctant to do as she was directed, she couldn't quite see why I wanted her to stick out her tongue, but when she saw the finished product she understood the playful mood I was trying to capture. Thanks for the great comment, much appreciated.
cheers, Beks
