Absolutely beautiful in its unpretentious simplicity... a timeless image of a timeless landscape. :)

Lovely job, Danny. I like the composition and overall classic landscape view.

There is one thing that distracts my eye, there seems to be a swatch of burn from the burn brush in the upper left corner sky. I used to (and sometimes still) do the same thing but have learned to use gradient masks with an adjustment layer to darken a corner or portion of the photo. Makes for a cleaner "burn" and toning.

Best to you,
Dave

Thanks Dave. I suppose I half noticed it then was too lazy to do anything about it, Anyway you gave me food for thought and went back to the original image and have now corrected the fault which originally occurred due to a polarizer filter on by 24-105 lens which gave me vingnetting on the corners.I have now lost one hour of my life which I cannot regain but now have an image worthy of posting.
Thank you and enjoy the rest of your day.

Cheers
Danny Brannigan

Sorry, Danny. But just think, that one hour of your life that you lost will be rewarded by a night of fitful sleep! :)

Best to you,
Dave

Great shot Danny. The tone gives it the feel of a photograph from the long past. I have tried the same thing with my shot "Prohibited" although I added a little blur to get a mystical feel to the shot. Your shot is very detailed and has a strong focal point. The clouds are so full and break up the large amount of sky wonderfully.
Regards,
Garold
