Dubravko Grakalic   {K:24902} 7/8/2007
wow, amazing! cool shot! it's hot-hot-hot project:)

Anne Knes   {K:49692} 7/8/2007
Excellent Paul !!!!!!!!!

Mark Julian   {K:35796} 7/8/2007
I would crop in a bit tighter on the left, a bit more on the right, and a bit off the top. Think it works MUCH BETTER in B/W. A good shot, maybe very good. I like the model, hope you had her do a 100 expression variations - with digital you can pop those off easily at no extra cost (well, wear and tear on the lights and camera - but it's worth it)........

Paul Lara   {K:82893} 7/8/2007
Ooh, thank you Anne!

Paul Lara   {K:82893} 7/8/2007
She is just amazing. She can relax on command. ;)

Jordi Codina   {K:1655} 7/8/2007
Nice pose. I prefer b&w version.
-jordi.

Davide Radice   {K:4906} 7/8/2007
Nice b&w tones and a good soft light, but it's a pity you cut out her feet (well, that's my opninion not a crtiticism ;-) ).
Davide.

Paul Lara   {K:82893} 7/8/2007
Thanks for the comment, Davide.
I tried, but her legs were too long. :)

Al Ungar   {K:4250} 7/8/2007
My vote would be the B&W, I might have cut her legs even hight, leaves no doubt that it was done on purpose

Paul Lara   {K:82893} 7/8/2007
Since they're not in the original frame, your idea seems best, Al. Thanks!

Patrick Sookiasian   {K:1379} 7/8/2007
Very nice. I prefer this one!

Victoria Alexandra Murray   {K:1165} 7/8/2007

Paul,

Out of the 3 posts, this is the best IMHO... ;) The cropped version doesn't have the contrast, or sharpness like this 1...

Take my opionion and $5, then you can get a cup of "Joe"... hehehe

Keep up the "Awesome" work my friend,

Marty

Love the B&W even more, Paul...more artistic.:)

Paul Lara   {K:82893} 7/9/2007
Ya know...despite every one voting for B&W, I still think it blends everything into one tone. I really prefer the skin tones contrasted with the blue top and enhanced by the cream couch.

I just love perfect skin tone, and think it all goes to waste in B&W porraiture.

...just sayin'

Shirley D. Cross   {K:145279} 7/9/2007
The color version is very beautiful, but sometimes the different colors distract from the overall subject. That's why I often convert to B&W...it blends everything together...makes the photo more uniform. A lot depends on the subject.

But, everyone is entitled to their own taste. When I first met Stan Ciszek on UF, he did not like B&W at all,...only color...but he has learned to like certain B&W photos through me.:)

Dev    {K:3449} 7/9/2007
Paul, I prefer the later (cropped) version to this one. Btw, it's Dev, not Avi :)

Thanks

Lucas L   {K:11978} 7/13/2007
...also quite nice !!!
