The selectivge focus worked but it didn't manage to separate the main subject from the background, Simone. The shapr details just make a transition to the fuzzy background and that makes it hard to say who's the protagonist here. The background itself is nice in its fuzzy nature, and so perhaps some additional sharpness over the whole "well dressed one" could help to make it better.
