About Free of baggage

Empty of baggage, void and clean
See how that is, so easy it seems
Unlike our penchant of hauling forever
That baggage unloaded, no longer a tether

Carrying baggage that is what it is for.
Unlike our lives, which means so much more.
A man takes the baggage off this cart.
But ask him to lose his, he can’t even start.

If only it is easy and simple as this.
Leaving your baggage right where it sits.
But we can’t leave it, we carry it around.
And when our wheels flatten, we just run aground.

Something inanimate makes it easy for sure.
But we as a people can’t find the cure.
Carrying our baggage, it’s what we do.
Failing to unload makes us nothing but a fool.

Thank you, Leo. Means a lot coming from the master of mono! Been trying to shoot more monochromes rather than desaturating color.

An excellent presentation under great high contrast black - white image, the object really viewed with a very artistique way. Very good.
Regards!

Nice shot and equally nice 'about'.... You write very well Dave...and YOU write the TRUTH extremely well.... I can proudly say I have no baggage...but since I left it in Fla. I sometimes feel like I am supposed to collect it all over again.... The feeling passes fortunately but at times in conversation with others ...It feels odd that I virtually have so very little materialistic objects, my camera, pc, phone, & car.... I am ready to TRAVEL
Michele~

Dave Arnold   {K:55551} 7/12/2007
That's it, Michele? No clothes? I must meet you!

LOL

Thanks, Dave

Dave Arnold   {K:55551} 7/12/2007
Thank you very much, John!

Best to you,
Dave

Michele Carlsen   {K:127677} 7/12/2007
I was going to list clothes and I actually took them off the list because they are sooooooo replaceable........ The weather is so nuts everywhere I generally just go to a Good Will or second hand store... (or cheap store of some kind)) and buy the clothes that suit the weather best when I get there - LOL !
I am not real impressive am I ?
