About Got frustrated with the wind so I set this up in my Garage and used my baseball hat as a background allowing for the natural light to backlight the flower. Probably looks to much like a flower book shot but I thought it was kind of fun...

After having tried to photograph the same thing and having problems with it being still, I appreciated your efforts. They have paid off with a nice capture of this interesting plant. The detail and lighting are excellent.

John, this is a OMG photo. I've never seen a bleeding heart in person (the flower version anyway), and now I understand why they are named that way. The backlight is so great, as it defines the flower without overwhelming it.

The edges in backlit photos can make or break the image. In this case, the edges are sharp but still show depth. Not sure if that makes sense...

Anyway, the thumbnail nearly knocked me over and the full image is fantastic!

Beautiful shot, very good texture, lovely colours, the backlight is fantastic !!! If you like, you can see my "Tearful Heart" as we call them. The blossom is a little different, but the same species. Regards

john, this is good as well, but the lighting seems better on the other one...if you take the other pic and put black to it...it would be dynamite...I'm wondering if the green is just making it seem brighter...in the thumbnails thay do look like different lighting...

I know about the wind bothering exposures. Very frustrating. This is great composition. Maybe using a reflector to put a little light back into this side of the bloom would brighten the image. Nice work. Don.
