About Same mood as in "Technology and melancholia" but now rather interested for the far background in the fog.

Any comments would be very welcome.

Night companions

A tree in the spotlight

Early in the morning

Up the skies

Tales of life

And as soon as you're back the strict organisation won't let you live

The wooden bridge and the tower of time

State transition at no time

Mirrored universes are not better

very fine in melancholy

Sandip Aine   {K:5175} 7/10/2007
I like this one very much. A very moody work. Love the color combination. Subdued reddish tinge from the leaves and the blue tonality caused by the fog blends perfectly. The composition is also beautiful, with 2:1:1 balance (imo). Only thing I would have wished is to get rid of the tree in the right and use that place to include some more of the ground and fog.

Best Regards,

-sandip

I like the combination of cold colors in the lower part and warm ones in the upper, and the far scene in fog is definitely very nice, Fog has the potential to make very good shots I believe dear Nick,
best, mahassa

Exactly again, Sandip! That green tree at the right is not so good there. I should perhaps move to the right and turn the camera to the lfet, to leave it out of the photo!

Thanks a lot for the nice detailed comment and the suggestion!

Best wishes,

Nick

You already capture much better colors than I do!

Thank you very much for the nice, detailed comment, Mahassa! Indeed Fog does add depth in some rather mysterious way. It hides the things in the distance gradually, so perhaps it is some kind of distance meter.

Best wishes,

Nick

Very nice image Nick!
I really like how the leaves just jump out at you like an explosion or fireworks! Excellent effect!
And Fog... Well fog is one of my favorite things to photograph. It creates such a prominant mood!
Well done my friend! Keep up the good work!

Nick Karagiaouroglou   {K:104385} 7/16/2007
I just had the luck to have those leaves and the fog at the same time, Wayne! Hergiswil was ideal for that!

Thanks a lot for the nice comment!

Nick
