Ha, my favorite port dear John, but now under bed weather conditions .... fine capture my friend, but do you know what you can do ... you can take a shot just of the castle cause it is a symbol of the plays you do live and I can only imagine how beautiful it is looking at it in close up, yours :))))

The blueish tinge in the photo surely means that there is some bad news about the weather...! Lovely mood captured...I do like your shots of this port much like Srna! This is very interesting port, never seen such ports in my country, so I look at it with wonder-filled eyes! Greece...Crete...all those romantic and distant places that I read and dreamt about at night in my school days...! Your photos have a terrific effect on me dear John...keep it up!!!

A beautiful image John of this port of Heraklion. It is built as a safe protection and I love the Castle as well as all of the colors in the boats ..... very well composed with great detail, and stormy light & mood!

I'll try that...you gives me an idea about a long exposure at night...trying to get the stars even with the lights there be... thanks!!!

Thanks a lot dear Reza....hehehe... believe me, I am very happy when the weather goes like that...pity that does not happen more times... we don't have the warmest weather in the world but at the summer (and believe me summer cams from May to....Octomber...) the temprature is 95 per 100 days much more than 30C and the 40C + is not something that happens once in the year! So I love rain!

Ahhh, a different perspective of that port, very nice. Love the boat colors and best of all that huge crashing wave into the castle. It would be really awesome to be up close to that type of wave action but certainly not worth risking a camera in the bad weather.
