Great capture and beautifully presented, Steve. I saw you are from California so I immediately thought it was a male Ruby-Throated hummingbird, however this one has a solid red head which I've never seen. So, I Googled "red headed hummingbird" and discovered that it is actually a male Anna's Hummingbird which California would be part of it's range. Thank you for sharing this... I will be looking out for these myself now... very pretty bird. 7+++ for the very nice/sharp photo. Best wishes, Brigitte
