About First thing Bek did was take me to the supermarket to stock up on honey. She had heard from lots of people that I have a very big appetite for the amber liquid, and feared that what she had in the cupboard wouldn't last long.
I took a look and said "grab your keys, let's go!" but in a very well mannered way (it's ok D + M, I am being good).
We went to the local supermarket and WOW..... there were too many varieties to choose from, so we picked a couple and Bek told me we could always come back for more if we had to.
I asked if we could look for some Poppers too, but Bek said that they didn't have any in the store.
Can't wait to tuck into this lot....

Your abouts are perfect, Bek...brings the little fellow to life!:)

Shirley, I have nothing to do with what Gene writes on here, except for the occasional spelling check when I am not busy, anything he writes is up to him.
He certainly is a character, full of life and energy...he does tire out quite quickly though, and there have been a few days when we have been out that I have to carry him inside after he has fallen asleep in the car.

I am jealous, Gene. I only offered you one brand of honey. Variety is the spice of life. Watch out if they try to give you Vegemite!

Heehee! Had to go all the way to Australia first to taste New Zealand honey? You couldn't wait a few more weeks????

Doyle D. Chastain   {K:99839} 7/24/2007
Oh my gosh!! Gene's picking out honey now?? We never took him to the store with us . . . so he wouldn't know how many were out there and how many to choose from . . . my honey budget is only soooo large. Bet he's in pig heaven with that variety!

Regards,
Doyle I <~~~~~

Oh great, by the time he gets to me, I'll be greeting an alcoholic hippy pilgrim!

rebecca claassen   {K:16419} 7/25/2007
Hiya Doyle, Gene is heading bravely through the skies on the big bird once again!
I know, it was a bit silly of me to take him and let him pick out his own honey, but we couldn't have him coming back to you and telling you we were stingy on the sticky stuff could we?
Start stocking up now for his return, he will be gagging for it when he gets home!!

cheers, Beks

rebecca claassen   {K:16419} 7/25/2007
Hey there Gail, Gene is on his way back to D+M, he is a bit of a handfull, but so much fun when he lets his hair down, so he is sure to have a great time with you!
cheers, Beks

rebecca claassen   {K:16419} 7/25/2007
Surely once he has been to Gail's the customs guys will strip him of his stash, he won't be able to consort with the Heffalumps and Wozzles over in NZ with you Rina, unless of course you hook him up with the grape fairy again!

er,Cookie...were ya lookin' in the mirror whilst holding your bevvie when you left that com about "alcholic hippy pilgrim"?....i can assure you we won't be tippin' no 40s or any hooch!...on the other hand,we may sample some "herbal" brownies if TSA doesn't confiscate the pkg.Jeroen is sending from Amsterdam...tee hee hee

on another note, i'm kinda wondering would it have not been quicker to send Gene to Rina in NZ since he is already nearby at Bec's rather than back to Cali first???....just sayin'

of course if privacy of street addy is really a problemo, then i can understand....some of ya'll could be wing-nuts...hehehe

peace,hippie chicka gAyLe

Hey there Gail-baby,
I don't think privacy is the issue so much (not for us fun, non-stalker types anyway), I think it is more the fact that Gene might bring souveniers for his hosts, and occasionally likes to take stuff back home with him. All that luggage can get a little heavy sometimes, and paying Gene's extra baggage fee might get a bit hefty for the host at the end of the line.
Apparently Doyle and Marlyce are opperating an illicit honey still, supplying the locals bears, to help pay for the back and forth travel fees.
