Hi Michelle. This most definately is natural. The last couple of days have been very hazy and we have enjoyed this kind of sunset. I did touch up the contrast and saturation a bit, but other than that, this is exactly as it was seen.

Ahhh yes, those lazy hazy days of summer in Ontario. Out in the west it seems the haze is very often smoke from forest fires somewhere. A very pleasing shot here, Mary. Nice little dab of colour in the upper left corner. Cheers, Gary:)

Congrats on your new camera and you are off to a good start. Not often can you film directly into the sun unless shaded some way. The haze lets you see the entire sun including its sharp edge outline. Itis a beautiful shot. Del.

This is a cool shot -- I like the big orange of a sun against the blue overtones throughout. It ends up with a painterly feel. By the way, I got reminded of you on the frog pic on display on the home page as I made a comment right after yours. Hadn't read yours before making mine. We both said the same thing about that frog: "Cute," although I went on to say how just saying "cute" wouldn't do the image justice. Please know that I cringed when I read your comment because it looks as though was insinuating that you hadn't said enough. Your comment was just right. Good to see you are still here my friend. It’s so surreal :) You done excellent work as usual ,Mary, haze does some of the most surreal views, last year on August was in Michigan (no camera) had visual breath taken fire ball super size moon rising ...never seeing before. Did cry of not having my gear :):):)

Excellent sunset, great the contrast and the clear shape of the sun as only the sun has hot tones and roundly the sky looks in deep colors, and cold...that must be because of a soft cloud there, the result is a great and unique sunset Mary, absolutely excellent the result with very good mood!

Hi Harry. It is interesting that since I got my camera, I feel incomplete if I don't have it with me. A few years ago, I would never have guessed that that would be so. Now, it is like you, if I see something that really catches my eye and I don't have my camera, I am disappointed. I guess the moral is to keep our cameras attached to us.

The haze sure adds to the moodiness as the sun sets not in it`s typical 'blaze but a more subdue colors.
